The Lazy Way

C F C
So many round here think I went the lazy way.
C F C All under the table rolling down the highway.
F C Sleeping where I wanted to, no place to call my own.
C F C Those were the darndest herdest working lovely days I've ever known.

Now I play my guitar all day and people wonder when I'll make my move.
But I aint going nowhere, I've got nothing left to proove.
I wish that i could show you the life that I've been shown.
Those were the fullest spilling over time to rest days I've ever known.

Your face in the river in the ripples has me still.
And I will stay with you forever with you stay I will.
I've given plenty to the wind now you can have me for your own.
Those were the most endlessly epic troubled days I've ever known.
